A Russian missile strike targeted a supermarket in the Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka, located in the front-line Donetsk region, on Friday (09 August).
The attack resulted in the deaths of at least ten people and injured 35 others, according to Ukrainian officials. The strike triggered a fire at the supermarket, which has since been extinguished.
The attack adds to the growing toll of civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict, with Kostiantynivka being one of the latest towns to suffer from the violence.
