According to the reports on Thursday (17 October), a bomb blast occurred near a police mobile van in the Urmar area on the outskirts of Peshawar. The improvised explosive device (IED) detonated while the police were conducting a routine patrol in the area.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the explosion. However, it caused significant alarm among the local residents and authorities.
Immediately following the incident, a large contingent of police officers arrived at the scene. They were joined by a bomb disposal unit (BDU) to assess the situation and ensure no further threats were present.
A search operation was promptly launched in the surrounding area to locate any possible suspects or additional explosives. The authorities are continuing their investigation to determine who was responsible for the attack.
