For the first time in 13 weeks, the Korean government has dropped the Covid-19 countrywide weekly risk level to “low,” the second-lowest rating category out of five.
During a government COVID-19 response meeting, the chief of the interior ministry’s disaster management officials stated that the number of confirmed cases per day last week was 29,805, the lowest in 13 weeks.
Though there is a decline in the number of active cases, people are still urged to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
