The remnants of Hurricane Beryl, combined with a passing frontal boundary, are bringing a dual severe weather risk to the Northeast, including a rare tornado threat and potentially significant flooding through at least Thursday (11 July) morning (local time). Scattered showers have already begun impacting the region and are expected to increase in coverage and intensity throughout Wednesday (10 July). Beryl has posed a significant tornado threat during its journey across the eastern U.S., with 08 July (Monday) witnessing 118 Tornado Warnings, the highest ever issued in a single day in July. Several tornadoes were reported in the Ohio Valley on 09 July (Tuesday) and now the threat is moving into the Northeast.
